A summary on how to get started with CustomerHub's Stripe Connector.

Getting Started

To start the integration process, click on the gear icon ⚙️ located in the bottom left menu and select "Connectors". Go to the Stripe Connector section and click "Connect". Finally, confirm your selection by clicking "connect" on the pop-up.

Connect CustomerHub to Stripe

If you already have a Stripe account, enter the email associated with your Stripe account and follow the steps to log into your Stripe account. Depending on your Stripe Security settings, this may require two-factor authentication.

If you do not have a Stripe account, then you can create an account during the connection process.

Just enter the email address you would like associated with your Stripe account, and fill in the information that Stripe requires at each step of the process. To make it easier, make sure that you have your business and banking information ready before you start. Information may include Country, Bank Account Number, Bank Transit number, and the type of business you have (LLC, Inc, Sole Proprietor, etc).

NOTE: The email that you use for your Stripe account may not be the same as the one used to log into your CustomerHub account. These login credentials are not shared between CustomerHub and Stripe.

After you are signed in, Select the Stripe account you'd like to connect to and click the Connect button to continue.

After clicking "Connect" you'll be redirected back to CustomerHub. When the connection is complete your Stripe Connector turns green and shows the name of your Stripe account.

Stripe Connection Advanced Options

Enable Stripe Customer Portal

Enabling the Stripe Customer Portal will provide your users with a platform to add or update their credit card information, cancel subscriptions, and view their billing history. This will also automatically create a link on your CustomerHub site, allowing users to access the Stripe Customer Portal easily from the profile dropdown in their account.

Customer Portal Options: Stripe requires these URLs to enable this option for your customers.

  • ​Privacy Policy URL

  • Terms of Service URL

Allow users to cancel subscriptions?

This feature will enable your customers to cancel their subscriptions from within the customer portal. If they choose to cancel, the subscription will be marked as canceled in Stripe, and they will no longer be billed. After the current billing period ends, the user's access to the relevant product in CustomerHub will be removed.

Change Stripe accounts

If you have already connected your Stripe account and would like to connect to a different one, you can do so by clicking on the 3 dots on your Stripe Connector and selecting "Disconnect".

Start the connection process again by clicking the "Connect" button. When you get to the screen below, you can select a new email from the drop-down at the top (next to your email), select a different Stripe account from the list, or create a new Stripe Account connected to the same email.
