You can offer a free trial or promo codes for your CustomerHub products. By offering a free trial, you give customers the chance to experience your product firsthand and decide if it's right for them. Additionally, promo codes that apply special pricing can incentivize customers to make a purchase and can also help you stand out from competitors.
Stripe Connector
To offer a free trial or promo codes, first connect Stripe to your CustomerHub. Go to App settings > Connectors and click "connect" on Stripe. Learn More
Once you have Stripe connected you will need to sync the CusomeHub product with the Stripe product. Go to your Product info and click "configure" to sync the product. Learn More
NOTE: When setting up the Stripe product configuration, do not enable the Checkout option. Instead, use an External URL. See the steps below.
Create a Stripe Payment link
Log in to your Stripe dashboard and navigate to the Payment links: https://dashboard.stripe.com/payment-links.
Click New (type "
n") to start the processSelect the product you connected in CustomerHub
Under Options enable the "Include a free trial" and specify our desired time frame
Under Advanced options, enable "Allow promotion codes" Learn More
Click the Create link to finish the setup
NOTE: The CustomerHub Stripe connector does not support the option to "let customers start a trial without a payment method". Do not enable.
Add payment link to CutomerHub
Once you've created your payment link you can copy it from Stripe and add it to CustomerHub product settings.
Select any option in the Purchase Method dropdown and click the "+" to add an external URL. Add the newly created payment link and click Save to complete the setup.
NOTE: Stripe will automatically charge the customer at the end of the trial.
Customers can now purchase access to your products and enjoy the flexibility of a free trial or promo codes.
PRO TIP: To allow customers to cancel before the free trial ends or any time after, enable the customer portal and allow users to cancel subscriptions in the Stripe connector options. Access to the product will automatically be removed at the end of the trial or billing period. Learn More
