Preview Your Course

Preview your course as an admin to confirm your lessons, media, and navigation display correctly before testing as a user.

Updated this week

What Does It Mean to Preview Your Course?

Previewing allows you to view your course from the perspective of an admin logged-in user. It shows how your course content, navigation, and layout appear—but it does not simulate user access restrictions, delivery rules, or purchase behavior.

Preview mode is ideal for visual and structural verification before testing the full user experience.

Why Previewing Matters

Previewing your course helps you:

  • Confirm lesson content loads correctly

  • Verify videos, downloads, and formatting

  • Review your section and lesson order

  • Check navigation between lessons

  • Ensure your course looks polished and professional

  • Catch any errors before testing as a new user

This step gives you a quick visual check before you move on to full user testing.

How to Preview Your Course

  1. Open your course product
Navigate to Products and select your Standard Product.

  2. Click “Preview”
The Preview button appears near the top-right inside the product editor.

  3. Browse your course layout
Review the course as it will look to authenticated users.

  4. Open each lesson page
    Confirm that:

    1. Videos load correctly

    2. Text formatting looks clean

    3. Images appear properly

    4. Downloads open and function as expected

  5. Test your navigation
Move through sections and pages using the sidebar menu to confirm the flow is correct.

  6. Verify any conditional content
Check that any embedded elements or dynamic content display as expected.

Best Practices

  • Always preview before testing as a new user

  • View the course on both desktop and mobile

  • Look for spacing, formatting, and readability issues

  • Confirm that titles and descriptions match your intended learning path

  • Fix any content layout issues before testing access or delivery settings
