What are Membership Assets?

Membership assets are the pieces of content, branding, and information you’ll use to build your membership. Preparing these ahead of time helps you move quickly once you're inside CustomerHub and keeps your membership organized and consistent.

Why Membership Assets Matter

Gathering your assets before building saves time and reduces friction. It helps you:

  • Stay focused and confident during setup

  • Build without stopping to hunt for files or rewrite content

  • Maintain consistent branding

  • Launch faster

  • Create a polished experience for your members from day one

A little preparation goes a long way.

Assets You Should Gather Before You Build

Below are the foundational elements that will make your build process smooth and efficient.

1. A Clear Membership Name

Choose a name that communicates the value or outcome of your membership. Avoid vague labels and keep it simple.

2. A Short Membership Description

Write 1–3 sentences describing what members will receive or experience.
You’ll use this in your CustomerHub product description.

3. Your First Few Pieces of Content

You do not need a complete library to launch.

Gather enough content to help new members get started, such as:

  • 1–3 modules or lessons

  • A welcome video or message

  • Starter resources (PDFs, guides, templates)

This is plenty for a strong launch.

4. Branding Elements (Optional but Recommended)

These help your membership look polished:

  • Logo

  • Cover image

  • Brand colors

  • Typography style

  • Thumbnail templates (if applicable)

Simple branding builds trust and credibility.

5. Pricing and Offer Details

Before setup, decide on:

  • Monthly or annual price

  • Founding member rate (if offering one)

  • Free trial (optional)

  • Any bonuses or perks for new members

You’ll use these decisions during the checkout configuration.

6. A Welcome Message or Video Script

Prepare a quick introduction that explains:

  • What members can expect

  • Where to start

  • The next steps they should take

This can be placed in a Start Here module or sent through onboarding flow.

7. Any Downloads or Supporting Materials

If your membership includes worksheets, templates, PDFs, or cheat sheets, gather them now so you can upload them easily.

Examples of What This Looks Like in Practice

  • A 2–3 minute welcome video

  • One starter module with two short lessons

  • A PDF checklist or quick-start guide

  • A simple logo and cover image

  • Pricing decided before entering CustomerHub

This is more than enough to begin.

Troubleshooting / FAQ

“Do I need a full library to start?”
No. Many successful memberships launch with only 1–3 starter lessons.

“Do I need professional branding first?”
No. Simple is fine. Branding can evolve as your membership grows.

“What if I don’t have a welcome video yet?”
A written welcome message is perfectly acceptable for your first launch.

“What if I’m still unsure about pricing?”
Start with something simple — you can adjust later as you learn from members.
