Google Drive Storage Connector

How to connect Google Drive to CustomerHub — importing files you select with Google Picker, converting Docs, Sheets, and Slides, and exporting your media back to Drive.

🔗 Overview

Connectors are used to sync data with your existing business tools and CustomerHub. With the Google Drive Storage connector, you can:

  • Import Drive files you explicitly select with Google Picker

  • Import Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides as PDF, XLSX, and PPTX

  • Export CustomerHub media into a dedicated CustomerHub folder in Drive

  • Back up media to Drive without requesting full-drive access

💡 Google Drive uses OAuth authentication. You’ll sign in with your Google account and grant CustomerHub limited access to your Drive — only to files you explicitly pick and a dedicated CustomerHub folder. Full-drive access is never requested.

🚀 Get Started

Follow the steps below to connect your Google Drive account to CustomerHub:

  1. Click Settings (gear icon) in the sidebar, hover over Workspace, then click Connectors.

  2. Find the Google Drive card and click CONNECT.

  3. A dialog will appear with an overview of the connector’s capabilities. Click CONNECT to begin the Google OAuth flow.

  4. Sign in with your Google account and authorize CustomerHub to access your Drive.

  5. Once authorized, you’ll be redirected back to CustomerHub and the connector will show as Connected.

🔄 What Happens After Connecting

Once the Google Drive connector is active:

  • Import files — Use the Google Picker to browse and select specific files from your Drive to import into CustomerHub’s media library.

  • Convert Google formats — Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides are automatically converted to PDF, XLSX, and PPTX on import.

  • Export media — Export CustomerHub media files to a dedicated “CustomerHub” folder in your Google Drive for backup or sharing.

  • Scoped access — CustomerHub only accesses files you explicitly select and the dedicated CustomerHub folder — it never requests full-drive permissions.

⚙️ Manage Your Connection

After connecting, click the (three-dot menu) on the Google Drive connector card to access management options:

  • Options — View and configure connector settings.

  • Reconnect — Re-authorize with Google if your session has expired or you need to switch accounts.

  • Disconnect — Remove the Google Drive connection from CustomerHub.

⚠️ Disconnecting will stop all file syncing between CustomerHub and Google Drive. Files already imported into CustomerHub will remain, but you will no longer be able to import new files or export media to Drive.
