Time Tracking: Estimate and Track User Engagement

Add estimated completion times to your pages, products, and collections, and see where those estimates appear for members.

⏱️ Overview

Time tracking is the most effective method for communicating how long a page, a product, or even a collection of products may take to complete. By setting estimated times, you help your users plan their learning and stay on track.

👀 Where Time Tracking is Displayed

Once you set an estimated time for a page, it will be displayed to your users in the following locations:

  • On product cards in the Library

  • In the Collection Dashboard (for bundled products)

  • At the top of the page, just above the content area

📝 How to Add Time Tracking Estimates

To add a time estimate to a page:

  1. Navigate to your product and click the CONTENT tab

  2. Click on the page name to open the Page Editor

  3. In the Page Settings panel on the left, find the Estimated time field

  4. Enter the estimated number of minutes to complete the page

  5. Click SAVE

💡 Tips for Effective Time Estimates

  • Be realistic — Factor in reading time, video length, and any exercises or activities on the page.

  • Round up slightly — It's better for users to finish early than feel rushed.

  • Include all content types — If a page has both video and text, combine those times.

💡 Time estimates are optional. If you leave the field blank, no estimated time will be shown to your users for that page.
