ℹ️ The icon picker described here is part of the Elevate theme. On the Motivate and Foundation themes, navigation icons are changed by adding CSS references to your theme’s custom CSS instead — see Adding custom CSS.
🎨 Overview
Even though the default navigation icons in CustomerHub are of great utility, you can add your own style to them to give your site a more personalized, professional and attractive look.
With the built-in icon picker, customizing these icons is simple and requires no code at all. You can change the icon for any of your site pages in just a few clicks. In this article, we’ll walk you through exactly how to do that.
These instructions can be used to customize the icons for any of your site navigation pages such as Dashboard, Library, Community, and any other site pages you’ve added (instructions for managing site pages here).
🛠️ How to Customize a Navigation Icon
Follow the steps below to change the icon for any site page:
Click Settings (gear icon) in the sidebar, hover over Content, then click Site Pages.
Find the site page whose icon you want to change and click the ⋮ (three-dot menu) on the right side of that page’s row.
Click Settings from the dropdown menu.
In the Navigation Item panel, scroll down to the ICON section. You’ll see the current icon and its name (e.g., “Book Open Text”). Click the CHANGE button.
The Choose an icon picker will open, displaying a library of over 1,600 icons. You can scroll through the grid or use the Search bar at the top to find a specific icon by name.
Click the icon you want to use, then click USE ICON to apply it.
Click SAVE in the Navigation Item panel to save your changes.
💡 Your icon change will take effect immediately on your site—no theme publishing is required.
🔄 Resetting to the Default Icon
If you want to revert a page’s icon back to its default, open the Navigation Item settings for that page and click the ↺ (reset) button next to the current icon name. Then click SAVE.
