How to Use Snippets for Reusable Content

Use Snippets to create reusable content blocks that can be updated in one place and automatically reflected across multiple pages.

What Are Snippets?

Snippets allow you to create reusable text blocks that can be inserted into multiple pages across your site.

Instead of copying and pasting the same content repeatedly, you can:

  • Create a Snippet once

  • Insert it into multiple pages

  • Update it in one place

  • See changes automatically apply everywhere

Snippets help you maintain consistency and reduce manual updates.

How Snippets Differ from Standard Text Blocks

A standard text block exists only on the page where it is created.

A Snippet:

  • Is managed centrally

  • Can be inserted into multiple pages

  • Updates globally when edited

  • Can include access control rules

Use a standard text block for one-off content.
Use a Snippet for content that appears in multiple places.

How to Create a Snippet

  1. Go to Settings

  2. Click Content

  3. Select Snippets

  4. Click Create Snippet

  5. Enter a name (internal reference)

  6. Add your content inside the text editor

  7. Click Save

  8. Toggle from Draft to Live

Editing a Snippet

To update a Snippet:

  1. Go to Settings → Content → Snippets

  2. Open the Snippet

  3. Edit the content

  4. Click Save

Changes will automatically update on every page where the Snippet is inserted.

There is no need to edit individual pages.

Access Control Options

Snippets include access settings.

You can control visibility by:

  • Everyone

  • All users

  • Custom (by product)

  • Custom (by segment)

This allows you to:

  • Show premium content only to certain users

  • Display cohort-specific information

  • Restrict content to membership tiers

Teaser Content Behavior

If you restrict access, you can optionally add teaser content.

Teaser content:

  • Displays to users who do not have access

  • Encourages upgrades or action

  • Can explain how to gain access

If no teaser content is added, restricted users will not see the Snippet.

How to Insert a Snippet Into a Page

  1. Go to the page you want to edit

  2. Open a text block

  3. Click inside the editor

  4. Select Insert Snippet

  5. Choose your Snippet from the dropdown

  6. Save the page

  7. Publish

The Snippet will display as part of the page content.

How Updates Propagate

When you edit a Snippet:

  • All pages using that Snippet update automatically

  • No additional publishing is required on those pages

  • Changes apply instantly after saving

This makes Snippets ideal for:

  • Event details

  • Legal disclaimers

  • Call-to-action sections

  • Promotional banners

  • Membership announcements

Best Practices

  • Name Snippets clearly (e.g., “Spring Bootcamp Details”)

  • Use Snippets for content that appears in 2+ locations

  • Keep formatting clean and consistent

  • Test access rules with a preview user if restricting visibility

  • Avoid overusing Snippets for one-time content
